Year of Zayed: DAEP visits the Etihad Museum

The museum is where leaders of the region held discussions, which led to the formation of the UAE.

In alignment with the Year of Zayed initiatives, Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) organised a corporate trip to the Etihad Museum on Thursday, 22 February, 2018. A total number of 32 employee representatives from different DAEP units participated in the visit, which included an organised tour. The tour highlighted the establishment of the UAE, starting from the initial discussions which took place between the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, to form one of the most unique countries in modern history. The museum is located at the “Hospitality Palace of Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum”, where the Union Flag of the UAE was raised for the very first time in history.

DAEP staff were introduced to several sections of the museum, including the theatre, the founding fathers' portraits and quotations and other sections depicting the unity of the nation. DAEP urges everyone to visit the museum, get inspired and better understand the history of UAE's formation. For more information, visit the official website of the Etihad Museum.
