Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) conducted pre-tender interviews this week with potential bidders with regard to the enabling works package for Dubai World Central's Al Maktoum International Airport (AMIA). Site grading and logistics packages are already underway, facilitating a new megaproject.
The enabling works package will involve bulk excavation, piling and dewatering works for Concourse 1 and the West Terminal Building as well as the associated connection tunnels for the Baggage Handling System (BHS) and utilities.
The next package which will soon be released to tender will be the substructure works for the reinforced foundation for the Concourse building which will consist of approximately 3 million m3 of concrete.
