DAEP receives highest honour at Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Awards

The awards recognised DAEP's business excellence and continuous improvement.

Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP), the leading aviation engineering organisation responsible for the design, master planning, infrastructure development and construction of Dubai’s dynamic aviation sector, received the Diamond Category of the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA), which is the program's highest and most distinguished honour.

The award was presented to DAEP at the 17th annual Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Awards ceremony held at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi on 22 April, 2019, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who was represented by His Highness Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court of Abu Dhabi. Competing across the UAE in both government and private sectors, DAEP has adopted world-class practices based on the European Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM) model that promotes business excellence and facilitates continuous improvement.

His Excellency Khalifa S. Al Zaffin, DAEP Executive Chairman, said, “We are tremendously proud of this prestigious accomplishment. The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award reaffirms our exceptional work and continued success to firmly establish the United Arab Emirates as a leading light in global aviation."

Ms. Suzanne Al Anani, DAEP CEO, said, “Being recognised for the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award is testament to our unwavering commitment to impeccable service and best practices within the aviation sector. The award recognises our continuous drive for business excellence and outstanding achievements towards developing the aviation capital of the world.”

Established in 1999, the SKEA is an initiative of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, aiming to actively promote a culture of continuous improvement and enhance competitiveness within the business sector in the UAE. Companies are measured by results, customer focus, leadership, talent development, continuous learning, innovation, partnership development and public responsibility.

On behalf of the Government of Dubai, DAEP is driven to continually raise the bar and deliver state-of-the-art airports and aviation-related projects. A determined focus on delivering exceptional quality and achieving the highest possible standards have resulted in the realisation of some of the most ambitious, exciting and iconic projects. With the meteoric growth of Dubai International and the vision of becoming the aviation capital of the world, DAEP has recently launched the DXB+ programme. The programme includes extensive building projects, airfield enhancements and infrastructure improvements to serve over 105 million annual passengers by 2022.
