The Emirati Women’s Day is a day celebrated in the United Arab Emirates to acknowledge the accomplishments and contributions of Emirati women in all fields. This occasion started in the Year 2015 following the directives of the Mother of the Nation, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, and is celebrated annually on the 28th of August.
This unique day expresses the Government’s gratitude to Emirati women - in admiration of their efforts and devotions, their resilience to fortify their dreams and accomplishments, and their ambitions for a brighter future in the UAE. It serves as a true platform to inspire young women and girls to pursue their dreams and goals, providing them with role-models to look up to.
The theme this year was announced to be: “We Share for Tomorrow,” which emphasizes on the unity approach that the Government has adopted since the establishment of the UAE. Since the beginning, Emirati women have been a strategic partner through their various roles in the society.
