The Fuel Farm expansion involves the detailed engineering, supply and construction of new jet fuel facilities to interconnect with the existing fuel supply network, with all associated mechanical and electrical installations and builder’s work along with expansion of the existing hydrant network and an into-plane facility.
The scope consists of the supply and installation of four new jet A1 fuel tanks, each 12500s4 m3 capacity, API 650 field erected, fixed cone roof with dual flotation suction; twelve new jet A1 fuel pumps and all required filtration; piping and accessories; slops tank with pumps; de-fueled product tank and pumps; two new diesel-operated fire pumps, controllers and firefighting and foam systems for all process and buildings works; CCTV and public address systems; new electrical substation and emergency diesel generator; and instrumentation and controls; along with a new administrative building, workshops and testing laboratory with associated civil and structural works and all related piping and ancillary works. When completed, the fuel farm will have on-site storage capacity of up to 98,000 m3 of fuel and total daily throughput of 24,000 m3/day, accommodating up to 174 aircraft stands.
