Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects Secures Dubai Government’s Excellence Program Awards

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 18 April 2016: Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) has been awarded first place in the ‘Best Improvement in Organisational Performance Results’ category, as part of Dubai Government’s Excellence Program (DGEP).

Responsible for the design, master planning, infrastructure and construction of Dubai’s dynamic aviation sector, DAEP is an integral component in the transformation of Dubai International Airport, the world’s busiest airport for international passenger traffic. The organisation is also responsible for the development of the new Al Maktoum International Airport – part of the world’s first 140-square-kilometer purpose-built aerotropolis, Dubai South.

DAEP earned the coveted accolade by undertaking a number of measures to improve operations and overall performance over a sustained period of time. This included augmenting their management team and staff capabilities, ensuring they were able to deliver maximum efficiency, while the implementation of an automation system helped optimise operations across all levels.

The organisation also enhanced a number of management processes and work methodologies to increase productivity – leading to improved performance across all departments. Finally, the award judges noted that during the past few years, DAEP had demonstrated an accomplished capability of delivering projects in a short time frame without increasing manpower.

“We are extremely proud to receive this award – it’s a just reward for all the hard work over the past 24 months,” explained Suzanne al-Anani, CEO, Dubai Aviation Engineering. “It would not have been possible without a complete team effort across all departments.”
